Planning Application Submitted in Bournemouth

Planning Application Submitted in Springbourne, Bournemouth: Hotel Conversion into a HMO.

Conversion of a Hotel in central Bournemouth into HMO accommodation

Planning Authority: BCP Council

Studio Homer is pleased to extend our architectural services for a planning application to convert a Hotel into an HMO property within the central Bournemouth area. In partnership with HLF Planning, Studio Homer provided a drawing set of the proposal, outlining how the required provisions for the change in use class will be met.

The difference in requirements for an HMO compared with a Hotel created an architectural challenge to meet the required refuge and cycle previous to a site with little access or excess space. With consideration, a bike store was proposed in the rear split ground level of the property with a secondary entrance to provide access to the proposed HMO. A bin store was proposed to the front of the property with easy assess from the roadside and entrance of the property.

The proposal has now been submitted to BCP Council (Bournemouth) for their approval.

In recent projects, Studio Homer and HLF Planning have formed a successful collaboration on several planning applications to properties within the Bournemouth Christchurch Poole (BCP) local planning authority area.
